The objective of the new "exceptional transaction" is to enable the renegotiation of debts with the Attorney General's Office of the National Treasury (PGFN), to help overcome the temporary situation of economic and financial crisis, due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is a type of agreement that allows taxpayers to pay debts registered as outstanding federal tax liabilities with benefits such as reduced down payments, discounts, and differentiated payment terms, according to their ability to pay and for debts up to R$ 150 million.
The new exceptional transaction will offer specific benefits for legal entities and even more differentiated conditions for individuals, sole proprietors, micro-enterprises, small businesses, educational institutions, charitable hospitals, cooperative societies, and other civil society organizations covered by Law No. 13.019/2014.
