João Adalberto Medeiros Fernandes Júnior

A lawyer with over 30 years of experience in corporate insolvency, he works in the judicial administration of medium and large-scale bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings, especially those with complex corporate structures and a significant number of creditors. Throughout his career, particularly after Law 11.101/05, he has participated in the most relevant restructuring cases in the country, across various sectors (industry, commerce, and services).

Graduated in Law, specializing in Judicial Reorganization from INSPER/SP, former President of the Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganization Commission of the OAB/RS (Brazilian Bar Association, Rio Grande do Sul chapter), founding partner and former Vice-President of IDRE – Institute for Business Recovery, member of the Special Commission on Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganization of the Federal Council of the OAB, of TMA-Brasil – Turnaround Management Association and of IBAJUD – Brazilian Institute for Judicial Reorganization.

In addition to being a Professor at the Higher School of Advocacy, he is a guest speaker at major congresses and seminars that address, in depth, best practices in insolvency proceedings in Brazil and abroad.
